Testing Psychologist
For over seven years, Empire Neuropsychological Services has provided exceptional pediatric evaluation services to Albany, NY and the surrounding area. We are a neighborhood-based and locally owned small private practice. We are seeking a testing psychologist or neuropsychologist for pediatric evaluations to help meet our demand for private pay pediatric evaluations. The psychologist must be independently licensed in New York with strong pediatric training experiences. Note that we cannot accept interns or unlicensed applicants at this time. This is a hybrid-remote position that only requires travel to the office on the evaluation day. We use teleconferencing to handle parent and teacher meetings. This is a fee for service position - evaluate two children per month or more.
Our ideal candidate has the following:
1. Formal training in doctoral-level clinical psychology, school psychology and/or neuropsychology
2. A commitment to keeping up current practices and a willingness to work through a neuroaffirming lens
3. Training in assessment of learning disorders including dyslexia, ADHD, emotional disorders, and other conditions that impact childhood functioning. Competency in Autism and fluency with the ADOS and/or Migdas-2 is highly valued.
4. Experience in assessing clients under age 21
5. Familiarity in collaborating with educational teams
6. A commitment to writing clear, brief, and useful evaluation documents that parents can read and understand (support and templates provided if needed)
7. A commitment to serving clients of diverse backgrounds and beliefs

We are seeking a licensed mental health therapist (LCSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD) to join our therapy team! This position requires experience in working with children and/or teens and parents. We are a neighborhood-based group practice focused on children, parenting, and family mental health operating since 2017. Our mission is to provide high-quality, inclusive, and accessible mental health services in the Capital Region. We offer neuropsychological evaluation, Autism evaluation, educational evaluation, school consultation, individual therapy, group therapy, and parent training. Our orientation is eclectic but we are anchored by evidence-based therapies. We use cutting edge technology in all areas of practice so we can focus on wellness for our clients and team.
