Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Jodie Cohen, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment planning for school age children, adolescents and young adults. Dr. Cohen received her PhD from Fordham University in New York, receiving advanced training at the New York University Child Study Center and Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York Presbyterian. Dr. Cohen then completed a psychology internship accredited by the American Psychological Association at Warm Springs Counseling Center and Training Institute in Boise, Idaho with concentrations in pediatric neuropsychology, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and child & family therapy. She completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Northwest Neurobehavioral Health in Idaho. Dr. Cohen stayed on as a staff neuropsychologist, member of the National Health Service Corps, and adjunct faculty at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. Dr Cohen is an active member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and The New York State Association of Neuropsychology.
Dr. Cohen began her career as a certified school psychologist with employment experience in public schools. She has participated as a member and chair of numerous special education and 504 Plan meetings and is well versed in educational law and procedures. Dr. Cohen has considerable experience as a private consultant to school districts where she provides in-service training to educators around identification and management of Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Cohen is uniquely qualified to bridge the school, home, and community settings in order to deliver the highest quality, evidence-based services to families.
Dr. Cohen lives in New York state with her husband and two young sons. She is committed to providing compassionate and personalized care to help you and your child.

Amarit Rosin, PsyD

Amarit Rosin, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York State. Dr. Rosin received her Bachelor’s degree from Boston University with a major in psychology. As an undergraduate student, she interned and volunteered at The Trauma Center and The Learning Lab @ Lesley, and participated in research studies on the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders and PTSD. Dr. Rosin received her doctorate from The George Washington University with concentrations in assessment and psychotherapy with both children and adults. Part of her training included working in schools with children who had been exposed to domestic violence and other traumatic experiences providing both cognitive testing and therapeutic interventions. Dr. Rosin then completed an internship program at the University at Albany Counseling Center working with university students experiencing a variety of needs including learning disabilities, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma and anxiety. She remained at the UAlbany Counseling Center for two years as a postdoctoral fellow with an additional concentration on suicide prevention and alcohol abuse. Dr. Rosin has also worked in private practice in Albany, NY.
Dr. Rosin has long been interested in therapeutic evaluations and learning disorders even prior to attending graduate school. Having witnessed individuals close to her with learning disorders experience testing, diagnosis and supports, Dr. Rosin wanted to learn how these tests led to diagnoses and recommendations, guiding her professional training and interests. She is the parent of four children with significantly different learning styles, including two with learning disorders. Dr. Rosin is an advocate for inclusive practices for individuals with disabilities.
