Pat Stastny, MA

Pat Stastny is a counseling psychology Ph.D. student at the University at Albany with a passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges. He’s worked in community mental health, private practice, and crisis support, with a special focus on supporting LGBTQ+ communities. Alongside his clinical work, Pat has been involved in research on social connection, suicide prevention, and the role of tabletop games in gender identity and well-being. He also teaches courses on psychology, diversity, and social justice, where he enjoys sparking conversations about systemic issues and how we can create more inclusive spaces.
