Kristina Cherubino, LMSW

Kristina Cherubino is a Licensed Master Social Worker specializing in work with children. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University at Albany, where she developed a solid foundation in therapeutic interventions and the systemic contexts that shape clients’ lives. Kristina’s professional experience includes a variety of mental health settings, including community-based counseling, school social work, foster care, short-term crisis, and residential care. In her clinical roles, she provided individual and group counseling to children, teens, and families aimed at building coping skills, social skills, and emotional regulation.

Kristina offers a supportive space for children working through mental health and behavioral struggles. She is particularly passionate about play therapy and play-based techniques, which allow younger clients to express themselves, process their feelings, and learn new skills through their natural medium of play. In addition to play therapy, she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness strategies.
