Jennifer Mayette, PsyD
Jennifer Mayette is a licensed psychologist specializing in work with children and adolescents. Dr. Mayette received her PsyD at Antioch University New England. Throughout her studies, Dr. Mayette received training in therapy and assessment at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, McLean Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and Bradley Hospital. Dr. Mayette completed her APA-accredited internship at Applewood Centers in Cleveland, OH and postdoctoral fellowship at Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Mayette has experience working with children and adolescents ages 2 to 18 years old, as well as young adults. She currently provides comprehensive assessments for children and adolescents who may be experiencing difficulties with executive functioning, behavioral regulation, academics, and social functioning. She also provides therapy for children and adolescents who may have difficulties with anxiety, ADHD, depression, neurodevelopmental struggles, and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Mayette takes a multidisciplinary approach and aims to work with a patient’s family members or caregivers, school, and other support networks, to provide comprehensive recommendations that help them in all facets of their lives. Furthermore, she hopes to help patients and their families gain a more comprehensive understanding of the reasoning behind the struggles at hand, provide skills and recommendations for both the patient and their family members when appropriate, and work with surrounding networks to provide patients appropriate supports.
Dr. Mayette grew up in and currently lives in Schenectady County. She is committed to advocating for both patients and their families and providing compassionate care that makes patients aware of their innate strengths to feel more confident when moving forward after treatment.
